Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts

Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts specializes in fostering theatrical self-expression in children ages 5-18 through comprehensive musical theater training and productions. Established in 2014, the academy provides the highest quality of training and instruction in the performing arts, encouraging excellence, enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion in students.

The academy offers technique classes designed to help students build new musical theater skills and develop their confidence. Training includes voice, acting, dance, and comprehensive musical theater performance skills. Private lessons are available both in-person and virtually for children and adults in voice, acting, and other performing arts disciplines.

Throughout the year, Ovation Academy produces up to 8 full-scale musical productions with students ages 6-18 through their Broadway Academy program. Students rehearse two or three times weekly as they work to construct 30-60 minute musical performances, experiencing what it takes to produce professional-quality theater. Recent productions have included Oliver Jr., Shrek KIDS, and Dot and the Kangaroo Jr.

Summer camps provide intensive training experiences where campers work together to mount a full musical production. Full-day camps run from approximately 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including games, warmups, small group rehearsals, theater and improv activities, and full ensemble rehearsals. The academy offers multiple class and sibling discounts as well as payment plan options.

Master classes and workshops led by professional Broadway performers and industry experts provide students with unique opportunities to learn from working professionals. The academy cultivates a sense of ownership and self-confidence in students, helping them bring their skills from the classroom to the stage and beyond.
