theCoderSchool North Shore is a coding education center located at 827 Waukegan Road in Deerfield, Illinois, bringing Silicon Valley’s premier kids coding program to the Chicago North Shore area. The school offers personalized coding instruction for children and teens through their flagship Code Coaching program, which features a super-small 2:1 student-to-coach ratio with individualized curriculum.

Programs range from novice to advanced coders, covering languages and platforms including Scratch, Python, JavaScript, Roblox, Minecraft, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and AI/Machine Learning. Students can explore diverse coding topics from game development and web design to robotics and artificial intelligence. theCoderSchool North Shore offers after-school programs, entry-level classes in larger ratios, @school classes, and popular coding camps throughout the year including summer camps and winter break skills camps. Summer 2026 camps run in morning (9:00 AM-12:00 PM) and afternoon (12:30 PM-3:30 PM) sessions with themes including Raspberry Pi, Roblox, AI Rise of Machines, Python Startup, Arduino, Minecraft, Robotics, and Game Development.

The school is part of a nationwide system with over 65 locations teaching more than 7,000 students weekly with 1,000+ expert Code Coaches. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, theCoderSchool partners with the Congressional App Challenge and has helped students win prestigious coding competitions. The North Shore location is owned by local families Justin and Robin Brown, and Chad and Karen, who bring passion for technology education and personalized learning to the community.
