School of Rock – Elgin

School of Rock Elgin offers performance-based music education for students of all ages and skill levels. The school combines private one-on-one music lessons with group band rehearsals, preparing students to perform live on stage at local venues. Programs include Little Wing for ages 4-5, Rookies for ages 6-7, Rock 101 for ages 8-13, the Performance Program for ages 8-18, Songwriting for ages 12 and up, the Adult Program for ages 18+, and House Band and AllStars for advanced students under 18.

Instruction is available in guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards and piano, vocals, and ukulele. All instructors are working local musicians who bring real-world experience to every lesson. The patented School of Rock Method uses a SongFirst approach, teaching musical concepts through iconic rock songs rather than rote exercises.

School of Rock Elgin also offers seasonal summer camps and workshops, giving students a week-long immersive music experience that culminates in a live performance. Birthday party packages and special events are available as well. The school fosters a supportive community environment where students build confidence, teamwork skills, and lasting friendships through the shared experience of making music and performing together.
