Bear Paddle Swim School – Wheaton

Bear Paddle Swim School in Wheaton, Illinois, is one of the newest additions to the Bear Paddle family of swim schools. Located within the Wheaton Town Square open-air lifestyle center, this facility brings Bear Paddle’s proven swim instruction to families in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream, Winfield, West Chicago, Warrenville, and the surrounding western suburbs.

The Wheaton location features Bear Paddle’s signature warm 90-degree saltwater pool with ultraviolet filtration and comprehensive sanitation systems. The facility maintains strict cleanliness standards, with a dedicated maintenance team that regularly disinfects all surfaces, changing stations, and shower stalls. The school limits capacity to fewer than 50 people inside at any time and provides complimentary hand sanitizer for students and parents.

Swimming lessons at the Wheaton location follow Bear Paddle’s story-based learning curriculum, offering group, semi-private, and private lesson formats in 30-minute sessions. Group lessons pair children with peers of the same age and ability, semi-private classes use a buddy system, and private lessons provide individualized coaching. Family swim is available free on weekends for enrolled families. The school accepts children as young as six months old, with group lessons for ages one and up and family lessons for infants from six months to three years. Instructors conduct skill assessments and provide monthly progress tracking.

Weekly lessons cost $35 per week on a month-to-month basis with make-up lessons, family swim, and progress reports included.
