Profile
KidStrong Libertyville is a science-based kids training center located at 1346 South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, Illinois. Owned and operated by Resilient Enterprises, Inc., an Area Developer for KidStrong in the Chicago North Suburbs, this location opened in 2025 and serves families throughout the northern suburbs of Chicago with an athletic play center concept for children from walking age (approximately 1.5 years) through 11 years old. The center provides a clean, modern facility purpose-designed for children’s physical and cognitive development, with open activity spaces and viewing areas that allow parents to watch and encourage their children during every class.
Each week, children participate in 45-minute classes led by certified KidStrong coaches following the Whole Child Philosophy, which focuses on three core developmental pillars: Strong Character, Strong Body, and Strong Mind. Character development builds teamwork, mental toughness, sportsmanship, and resilience through structured cooperative and competitive games. Physical development promotes balance, coordination, strength, agility, and physical literacy through fun, challenging movement activities and obstacle courses. Mental development uses puzzles, games, and cognitive challenges to foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The class format includes an affirmation where children build self-esteem through positive declarations, a social greeting practicing handshakes and eye contact, a foundations block combining warm-ups with fundamental skill building, a milestone block for complex cognitive development, a move-and-learn block blending physical activity with mental challenges such as pattern recognition and public speaking exercises, and a performance block for skill mastery through repeated training and testing.
Programming changes every week so each session introduces completely new activities, keeping children engaged and constantly challenged at their appropriate developmental level. Classes are grouped by age and developmental stage, from toddlers just learning to walk through pre-teens refining advanced physical and cognitive skills. Membership includes one 45-minute class per week. The Libertyville center also offers birthday party packages featuring KidStrong-style activities and games, available for both members and non-members. Seasonal camp programs are available including summer camps and day-off camps when local schools are not in session, providing extended developmental programming beyond the weekly class schedule. KidStrong reports that the overwhelming majority of families observe significant improvements in their children’s self-confidence, social skills, and overall engagement compared to other youth programs, making it a popular choice for families seeking a science-backed approach to child development in the Lake County area.
