Profile
A Child’s Space is a high-quality early childhood education center located in downtown Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood at 1020 South Wabash Avenue. The facility occupies a 5,200 square-foot loft-like space that has been lovingly designed to support learning and nurture the curiosity of young children. Founded on the belief that early years are the most important for child development, the center provides fun and heart-centric discovery and learning experiences.
The center serves children from 6 weeks through 6 years old across multiple programs: Infants (6 weeks-1 year), Toddlers (1-2 years), Preschoolers (3-5 years), and Remote Learners (3-6 years) who need supervised distance learning support. The curriculum emphasizes math, language, literacy, and STEAM education through discovery play. Uniquely, A Child’s Space also incorporates the Nine Fruits of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control) as the foundation for developing compassionate, socially aware, and responsible children who are not just smart but “Heart-Smart.”
The center offers flexible childcare solutions including full-time and part-time care, Drop-in Care for occasional needs, Date Night services on Fridays until midnight, and periodic Saturday “Day” Care. Three times each year, the center partners with local shelters or organizations to share resources and support social justice in developmentally appropriate ways.
Technology integration includes state-of-the-art parent-accessible web cameras offering secure live video streams so parents can watch their children throughout the day. A user-friendly parent app provides detailed progress reports, photos, videos, lesson plan highlights, milestone reports, supply reminders, learning tips, hands-free QR-coded entry, health checks, and billing capabilities all in one platform.
The center is conveniently located near Museum Park Campus, taking advantage of Chicago’s museums and outdoor venues for regular field trips and exploration. The staff is carefully selected for attitude first, creating a nurturing team of well-trained professionals who are friendly, passionate, and skilled in early childhood education.
