Color Factory Chicago

Color Factory Chicago is an immersive, interactive art experience located in the iconic Willis Tower that celebrates the beauty and joy of color through multi-sensory exhibits. Spanning 25,000 square feet across 15 unique installations, visitors embark on a vibrant journey filled with surprise giveaways, sweet treats including jelly beans, macarons, and ice cream, and complimentary digital photo booth experiences.

The experience features a massive 2,600-square-foot ball pit with two slides celebrating Chicago’s many shades of green, a confetti room inspired by the Chicago flag colors, Flavorama – a theater for your mouth where visitors match flavors and colors, and a birthday color finder by astrologer Michele Bernhardt. Each colorful room is designed in partnership with local and international artists, creating a multi-hued homage to Chicago.

The facility offers sensory-friendly spaces and maintains attentive, friendly staff to ensure an inclusive environment. Visitors typically spend 1 to 1.5 hours exploring at their own pace through the one-way journey. The experience includes free coat check service and complimentary digital photos throughout.

While primarily focused on immersive art experiences, Color Factory also hosts private events and special occasions. Discounted parking is available at Traders Self-Park nearby. The venue has been voted the #1 Immersive Art Experience by USA Today in both 2024 and 2025.

Color Factory partners with local nonprofits including SocialWorks, 826CHI, and the MCA, with a portion of gift shop sales supporting these organizations.
