Profile
Apachi Day Camps, operated by JCC Chicago, offers comprehensive summer day camp programming across nine locations throughout Chicagoland. The camps provide a uniquely Jewish summer experience where children can spread their wings, test the waters, push their envelope, and find their bliss in a supportive and engaging environment.
With locations including Northbrook, Lake Zurich/Long Grove, Evanston, North Park, Old Town, Irving Park, and Rogers Park, Apachi Day Camps serve children from preschool through high school. The camps feature countless activities, field trips, and traditions that create strong friendships lasting a lifetime. Days are filled with team-based events, colorful camp-wide celebrations of ruach (spirit), and Jewish community traditions.
Campers can spend the summer doing what they love while exploring new interests and passions through activities including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and specialized programs. Shabbat Fridays bring campers closer together as they celebrate Jewish community and traditions in the unique Apachi Day Camp style.
For campers needing extra support, options are available through JCC Chicago or Keshet to ensure a successful summer experience. The camps are committed to being allergy-safe with customized approaches for children with food allergies. Financial assistance is available through JCC Chicago and Women’s Auxiliary funding, as well as state-based childcare funding programs.
Special programs include a Try Chi overnight camp experience for 2nd-6th graders, a CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program for 8th-10th graders, and specialized teen programming for 7th-9th graders that includes urban exploration and community service. Combo options allow families to combine Apachi Day Camp with sessions at Camp Chi Overnight Camp with special savings. The Community Care team ensures social-emotional needs of campers are met for success at camp.
