Lakefront Children’s Academy

Lakefront Children’s Academy is a learning community dedicated to preparing children for success in school and life through comprehensive early childhood programs and activities. The academy serves children ages 2-8 with age-specific classrooms including Jellybeans & Blue Jays (ages 2-3.5), Worker Ants (ages 3.5-4.5), and Dolphins Pre-K & Kindergarten (ages 4.5-6).

Each program nurtures natural curiosity and creativity through a comprehensive curriculum including reading readiness, math readiness, art exploration, the Earthworks Science Program, private piano and Musikgarten music lessons, Spanish language instruction, physical education, geography and social studies, and critical thinking development. Small class sizes and caring teachers guarantee individual attention for each child.

Daily activities balance active and quiet time, group and individual work, with an emphasis on joyful learning. The academy also offers a 9-week Summer Camp for ages 2-8 featuring weekly themes (Ocean Life, Outer Space, Dinosaurs, Wild Kingdom), meals, sports and PE classes, weekly art and cooking projects, field trips to local attractions and parks, professional swim lessons for ages 3.5+, splash/bubble/chalk days, and daily outdoor activities including Maggie Daley Park excursions.
