Profile
Maggie Daley Park is a premier 20-acre public park located in downtown Chicago at 337 E Randolph Street, managed by Legends Global and operated by the Chicago Park District. This spectacular urban oasis offers year-round family-friendly activities and stunning attractions with breathtaking skyline views.
The park’s signature winter attraction is the quarter-mile Ice Skating Ribbon, a unique winding skating path that creates a magical experience different from traditional oval rinks. Timed skating sessions require advance ticket reservations and ice skate rentals are available on-site. During winter months, visitors can also enjoy cozy igloo rentals for private gatherings, s’mores and fire pit experiences for warming up after skating, and the Rink Cafรฉ offering food and beverages.
The centerpiece Play Garden is a first-of-its-kind 3-acre imaginative play space for children under 12, designed in the spirit of Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This extraordinary landscape features six distinct themed areas including The Sea (ages 5-12) with an 8,500 square foot play loop featuring a large metal ship, whale, and lighthouse tower; The Watering Hole (ages 2-5) with animal-themed play and spray features; The Harbor (ages 2-5) with boat-themed play; the Enchanted Forest with upside-down trees, a turning stone, tea party table, and mirrored kaleidoscope maze; the Wave Lawn with rolling topography and talk tubes; and the Slide Crater (ages 5-12) featuring wide slides, rail slides, and a climbing pyramid accessed by suspension bridge.
Seasonal amenities include an 18-hole miniature golf course operated by City Mini Golf, featuring replicas of iconic Chicago structures like the Willis Tower and Picasso sculpture. The Cancer Survivors’ Garden provides a peaceful contemplative space. The Fieldhouse hosts Chicago Park District programs and activities. Picnic groves offer spaces for gatherings and outdoor dining.
The park welcomes field trips, private events, weddings, film and photo shoots, and event rentals in various spaces throughout the facility.
