Professional instructors teach the fundamentals of climbing technique, safety protocols, and teamwork skills, helping kids build physical strength, coordination, and self-confidence. The program utilizes UIC’s professional-grade climbing wall facility, providing a safe and challenging environment for young climbers to develop their abilities.
Learn to Swim programs provide comprehensive aquatic instruction for children at various skill levels, from first-time swimmers to those looking to refine their strokes. The swim lessons take place in UIC’s well-maintained aquatic facilities and provide a safe and encouraging space for kids to develop essential water skills, boost endurance, and enjoy the water with confidence. Professional instructors guide students through progressive skill development in a supportive learning environment.
Parent Tot Swim Lessons offer specialized instruction for the youngest swimmers, providing an opportunity for parents and toddlers to learn water safety and basic swimming skills together. These classes create bonding experiences while introducing very young children to the aquatic environment in a safe, supervised setting. The parent-child format ensures comfort and security for both participants while building foundational water confidence.
Preschool Swim Lessons cater specifically to preschool-aged children, offering age-appropriate instruction that helps young swimmers develop water safety awareness and beginning swimming techniques. These classes are designed with the developmental needs of preschoolers in mind, incorporating play-based learning and positive reinforcement to create an enjoyable introduction to swimming. Classes maintain small instructor-to-student ratios to ensure personalized attention and safety.
