WonderPlay & Coffee is Chicago’s premier indoor play cafe that combines imaginative play spaces for children with a quality coffee shop experience for parents. Located in Avondale, this family-friendly destination offers a comprehensive play environment open seven days a week from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

The facility features multiple play areas designed for different age groups and interests. The Pretend Cafe allows children to engage in imaginative role-play, while the giant jungle gym provides opportunities for big movement and physical activity. The beloved Camp Room offers make-believe adventures, and the Little Library provides a soft, quiet area with books and sensory toys specifically designed for infants and young toddlers.

WonderPlay partners with Magnifico Roasters to serve high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, along with delicious baked goods from Umaga Bakehouse. Dietary options include gluten-free and vegan-friendly treats from Mindful Baking Company and Meet Stop, ensuring all families can find something to enjoy.

The venue offers a robust weekly program of free creative classes including Monday story-time, Tuesday Bubbles Academy Music Classes (drop-in fee applies), Wednesday Brain to Belly Yoga, Thursday Junior Super Hero Training, and Saturday and Sunday morning Open Art Studio from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Miss Trina’s Art Studio provides a dedicated space for creativity and self-expression for all ages.

Private party rooms are available for birthday celebrations, playdates, and special events that are easy to customize and stress-free for parents. Daily admission includes all-day play passes at $22 for children 8 months to 15 years, with sibling discounts available. Babies under 8 months receive free admission with one coffee shop purchase. The facility operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations needed for general admission.
