Rootz

Rootz is a family-owned enrichment center serving children from birth to 18 years old on Chicago’s North Shore, offering a comprehensive range of performing arts, fitness, and enrichment programs. The facility provides dance, theater, music, fitness, tumbling, and camp programs designed to empower and inspire children while helping them blossom into healthy, happy, and successful adults.

The dance program includes early childhood dance classes (Mom & Tot and drop-off), youth and teen dance across multiple styles (ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical), a dance recital program, and the Relevé Dance Company with both performance and competition teams. Classes are tailored to each age group with experienced instructors who foster self-confidence and skill development.

Theater and music programs feature classes in musical theater, acting, improv, and music instruction. The theater program culminates in full-scale productions with professional lighting and sound in their on-site theater. Fitness and tumbling programs include gymnastics, tumbling, ninja classes, and open gym sessions.

The facility offers multiple locations in Deerfield and Vernon Hills with convenient class schedules seven days a week. Amenities include bright, airy studios, a comfortable lobby with café serving coffee and snacks, a boutique featuring children’s clothing, and even a salon. The center hosts birthday parties and special events with full-service coordination including DJ, decorations, and catering.

Year-round programming is divided into sessions (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) with break camps offered during school holidays and comprehensive summer camp programs. The welcoming, inclusive environment emphasizes individual growth, teamwork, and fun while maintaining high-quality instruction from passionate, caring staff.
