Actors Gymnasium

The Actors Gymnasium has been helping thousands of kids discover they are capable of more than they ever imagined for over 25 years. Located in Evanston’s Noyes Cultural Arts Center, this unique facility combines circus arts, gymnastics, and theater training to create transformative experiences for children and adults.

The gymnasium offers comprehensive Circus Arts classes for students from 1st grade through high school, featuring instruction in tumbling, ground skills, and various aerial apparatus including silks, lyra, trapeze, Spanish web, rolling globe, juggling, and stilt walking. Classes are structured by age and skill level (Intro, Level I, Level II, Level III, and All Levels) to ensure appropriate progression and safety.

Additional programs include Imaginastics for ages 4-5 combining theater games with physical activities, Parent-Tot Gymnastics for ages 2-3, and Contortion classes for ages 10 and up focusing on flexibility and strength. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment, professional instructors, and maintains a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio in many programs. Classes are offered year-round with flexible scheduling including weekdays and Saturdays. The gymnasium also produces professional circus performances and offers financial aid, making circus arts accessible to the entire community.
