American Academy of Gymnastics – Northbrook

American Academy Gymnastics Wheeling is a well-established gymnastics facility that has served the community for over 30 years, offering a fun, safe, and engaging environment where athleticism and education are prioritized. The facility features over 18,000 square feet of intentionally designed space to accommodate athletes of all backgrounds and skill levels.

The gym is equipped with extensive apparatus including 3 trampolines, 3 foam pits, 5 sets of uneven bars, and every piece of Men’s and Women’s Olympic Gymnastics equipment. This comprehensive setup allows for a well-rounded program that encompasses all aspects of gymnastics training.

Programs offered include Tot Gymnastics for young children, Recreational Gymnastics for general skill development, Tumbling classes, High School Gymnastics preparation, and Competitive Gymnastics teams. Private lessons are available for personalized instruction. The facility also operates Open Gym sessions for practice time, hosts Birthday Parties with various packages, accepts Field Trips from schools and organizations, and offers seasonal Camps during school breaks and summer.

The facility provides two enclosed and maintained viewing areas on the first and second floors where friends and family can watch athletes. Free WiFi is available for guests, and vending machines offer snacks and drinks. All instructors are USA Gymnastics registered and certified by the U.S. Center for SafeSport, demonstrating the facility’s commitment to athlete safety and professional instruction. The gym has a partnership with Athletico Physical Therapy to support athlete wellness and injury prevention.
