Heinz Orchard is Chicagoland’s closest orchard, offering a no-frills u-pick apple experience for over 70 years. This family-favorite orchard provides a beautiful outdoor setting perfect for enjoying the simplistic fun of apple picking at an affordable price. The orchard does not offer agritainment amenities such as bathrooms, hayrides, petting zoos, or pumpkins, focusing instead on what they do best: providing quality apples in a natural setting.

The orchard charges no admission fees and no parking fees, making it one of the most affordable orchards in the area. Guests can purchase either a 1/2 peck bag (approximately 6 lbs) or a 1 peck bag (approximately 12 lbs). Payment options include cash and major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, as well as Apple/Google/Samsung pay.

Orchard rules are simple and designed to protect both guests and the trees: no pets are allowed, one picking stick per group, no climbing in trees, no throwing apples, and no shaking the trees. The orchard provides a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where visitors can enjoy the tradition of apple picking without the crowds and commercialization of larger operations.
