Red Coat Farm

Red Coat Farm is a premier hunter-jumper show barn located in Hawthorn Woods Illinois providing training for riders and horses of all levels from beginners to national competition participants. With over thirty years of experience, the farm features a 10-acre property with three barns, a sizable outdoor arena, and ample paddock and turnout space.

The Red Coat Farm School of Horsemanship offers comprehensive riding education through group and private lessons on well-trained and safe school horses. Programs include NIHJA horse show opportunities, schooling shows, camps, clinics, share-boarding, leasing, half-leasing, and horses for sale. Riders have opportunities to progress from recreational riding to National and International competition levels.

Trainers Lisa Goldman-Smolen and Mary Goldman lead the program bringing professional expertise and competitive experience. The facility provides training for both riders and horses focusing on developing horsemanship skills in a supportive community environment. Staff is present on site 24/7 to ensure the safety and care of horses.

The farm features extensive amenities including indoor and outdoor arenas, paddocks, heated facilities, and climate-controlled barns. Located conveniently on Gilmer Road west of Route 83 and east of Midlothian Road, Red Coat Farm is only one hour from Chicago making it accessible for riders throughout the area.
