Summer camps are designed to foster personal growth through educational, recreational, and group activities in the natural 300-acre setting. Camp options include Camp Coyote (ages 3-6) focusing on curiosity and play-based learning; Quarry Camps for Explorers (ages 7-9) and Adventurers (ages 10-14) featuring climbing, ziplining, kayaking, laser tag, archery, and more; Forge WILD Camp (ages 7-11) offering nature center activities including scavenger hunts, animal encounters, kayaking, and mini golf; Circus Adventure Camp (ages 7-14) combining circus arts like juggling, stilt walking, trapeze, and aerial techniques with outdoor activities; and Camp Trailblazers (ages 15+), a specialized program for individuals with intellectual, cognitive, or physical disabilities.
The park’s unique Camp Over program (ages 7-14) is an overnight experience where campers spend two nights under the stars learning survival skills and cooking over campfires. All camp counselors are trained in CPR and Basic First Aid with extensive training in activities, inclusion, and diversity.
Beyond camps, the facility hosts music and food festivals, races, field trips, team-building events, and private parties. The Forge features adventure dining, a beer garden, event venues, a nature center (Forge Nature Center), and The Foundry concessions. Built on reclaimed industrial land and former yellow dolomite quarries, the park emphasizes environmental stewardship while providing transformational outdoor experiences. Trails surrounding the park are open to the public year-round through the city partnership.
