The Mount Prospect and Naperville locations share a similar design concept, featuring warm pastel tones, environmentally friendly wooden play structures, ball pits, natural wood toys, and multiple imaginative pretend-play areas. These two locations are designed for children from six months through six years of age, with a maximum height limit of 48 inches on the playground to maintain a safe environment for younger visitors. Each features a dedicated baby area separated from the main play structure so that the smallest guests can explore at their own pace. The Hoffman Estates location, branded as Playroom Cafe Social, offers a larger and expanded concept with a modern playground built for children from birth through age 12, or up to 59 inches in height. The main play structure at Hoffman Estates is ideally suited for children ages three through eight, with a separate baby and toddler zone available for children from birth to three. The Hoffman Estates venue also features an elegant event space that opens to a charming outdoor patio, making it particularly well suited for warm-weather celebrations and larger gatherings.

All three locations operate a full-service cafe with a menu of freshly prepared items made in house using many organic ingredients. Offerings include specialty coffee and espresso drinks, fresh smoothies, paninis, sandwiches, flatbreads, wholesome salads, kids’ meals, and a variety of snacks for children and adults. Free Wi-Fi is available at each location. No outside food or drinks are permitted at any Playroom Cafe venue, ensuring a clean and consistent dining experience. The cafe seating is designed to provide parents with clear sightlines to the playground, so adults can comfortably enjoy their food and drinks while keeping an eye on their children.

Birthday parties and private events are a signature offering across all Playroom Cafe locations. Each venue provides all-inclusive party packages with dedicated party hostesses who handle setup, service, and cleanup, allowing hosting families to enjoy a completely stress-free celebration. Semi-private party packages at the Mount Prospect and Naperville locations include a private party room for two hours, playground admission for each child, pizza, organic juice boxes, drinks, tableware, helium balloons, and cake stands, accommodating up to 10 children and 20 adults. Private party packages offer exclusive rental of the entire cafe and playground for up to 20 children and 40 adults, with expanded catering and two party hostesses. The Hoffman Estates location offers its own party packages tailored to its larger venue. An in-house decor team is available across all locations to create custom themed decorations including balloon garlands, backdrop boards, banners, and styled table setups, with a minimum of four weeks’ notice required. Beyond children’s birthday parties, the venues are suitable for baby showers, corporate events, holiday celebrations, and other special occasions.

Walk-ins are welcome at all locations with no reservations required. Grip socks purchased from Playroom Cafe are required for all visitors in the playground area, socks are required for everyone in the cafe, and signed waivers are mandatory. No birthday celebrations, cake, or party items are permitted during open play hours. Gift cards are available and redeemable across all three locations. Punch cards and free passes from the Mount Prospect and Naperville locations are not transferable to Hoffman Estates.
