Children’s Theatre Company

Children’s Theatre Company is Chicagoland’s leading youth musical theater program serving children ages 3-14 across Northbrook, Highland Park, Deerfield, Glenview, Wilmette, and the greater North Shore. The program specializes in musical theater performance classes, preschool acting, and summer performance camps designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and connection through the performing arts.

The company offers a comprehensive progression of programs including Musical Theatre Tot & Storybook Adventures for ages 3-6, Young Performers Program for kindergarten and first graders, Performance Program for 2nd-5th graders, and the invitation-only Spotlight Collective showcase class for advanced students in 2nd-7th grade. Every child receives a role in performances, with small-group instruction ensuring personalized attention and skill development.

Classes are held at the Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook and now also in the city. The program emphasizes the development of social skills, language abilities, physical coordination, confidence building, teamwork, character development, advanced acting techniques, vocal and dance skills, stage presence, and commitment. Students work toward fully staged productions with professional guidance, and advanced students may receive introductions to SAG-accredited agents. The program culminates in showcase performances for families and friends, providing children with valuable experience in live theater while building friendships within a vibrant creative community.
