Profile
Club SciKidz West Chicago provides high-quality STEM education programs for children in the western Chicago suburbs. As part of a franchise network established in 1997, this location offers over 70 themed science and technology summer camps designed for grades Pre-K through 8th grade.
The summer camp programs focus on hands-on learning experiences covering topics including astronomy, meteorology, sea adventures, climate change, veterinary medicine, robotics, Marvel stop motion animation, ocean conservation, chemistry, rocketry, American Girl themes, wizarding world adventures, medicine, and surgery. Each camp features carefully researched science lessons that engage students in observation, measurement, property identification, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts.
In addition to summer camps, Club SciKidz West Chicago offers after-school STEM enrichment programs, science assemblies for schools, in-school field trips, science birthday parties, scouting merit badge classes and workshops, and homeschool sessions. All programs use the comprehensive Wilton Method and are accredited by STEM.org, recognized among the top 5% of STEM programs nationwide.
The primary camp location is at New Hope United Methodist Church in West Chicago. Programs emphasize creating a fun, safe, and scientific learning environment with quality coaching and expert instructors. Each registered camper receives a t-shirt and participates in outdoor team-building activities including kickball, soccer, basketball, tug-of-war, and water games.
The organization maintains a strict no-cell phone policy during camp hours and requires packed lunches and snacks. Camps offer both half-day options for Pre-K/K students (9am-1pm) and full-day programming for older students.
