Casa Italia Chicago is an Italian cultural center serving as a home for all Italian-American organizations in the Chicago area. The center provides comprehensive Italian language and cultural education through classes for children and adults, summer camps for kids, and various cultural programs.
The facility houses multiple museums and exhibits including the Florence Bartolomei Roselli Library, Calabresi In America Exhibit, John Cadel Art Gallery, Italians In Chicago Exhibit, The Savoia Exhibit, Scalabrini Museum, Italian-American Veterans Museum, and Sicilian Heritage Museum. These exhibits preserve Italian-American heritage and ensure passage of values to future generations.
Casa Italia offers children’s group Italian language classes throughout the academic year, providing young learners with opportunities to connect with the Italian language and culture through arts, games, and customs. The organization hosts numerous events including Sabato Culturale, Italian-American Authors Book Club, bocce league activities, and Italian film series screenings.
Additional programs include an Art League, vocal scholarship opportunities, and partnerships with various Italian-American organizations. The center provides a welcoming space for community gatherings, cultural celebrations, and preservation of Italian heritage. Casa Italia’s mission is to pursue common goals, celebrate heritage, and ensure the continuation of Italian-American traditions and values for future generations.
