The Actors Training Center offers the highest level of professional acting training taught exclusively by working industry professionals. Founded in 2008 by Carole Dibo, ATC has grown from 20 students to over 200 students per session, establishing itself as the go-to school for young talent in the Chicago area.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ATC’s mission is to offer training that helps students truly grow not only as actors but as people. The center provides classes for students from 2nd grade through adult levels, covering film, television, musical theatre, and stage performance. Their reputation attracts top Industry Professionals to lead workshops, including casting directors from major productions like House of Cards and films by Tim Burton and Wes Anderson.
ATC serves as a resource for Casting Directors in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, giving students unique industry connections and opportunities. The center offers ongoing classes, workshops, and a Professional Summer Intensive program that includes monologue interpretation, scene study, accents and dialects, on-camera technique, and professional headshot sessions. Students conclude intensive programs with filmed showcases for family, friends, and invited Chicago professionals. The training center emphasizes industry expectations and professional standards to prepare actors for real-world success.
