Chicago Sky Basketball Academy

The Chicago Sky Basketball Academy offers comprehensive basketball training programs, travel teams, and camps for girls ages 9-18 throughout the Chicago area. As the official AAU and girls basketball training program of the Chicago Sky WNBA team, the academy focuses on building individual skills, basketball IQ, mental preparation, and team connectedness.

The academy provides year-round programming with age-appropriate building blocks across all four seasons. Training classes emphasize fundamental basketball skills, offensive and defensive techniques, and game strategy. Players learn from experienced coaches who teach core fundamentals of the sport in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Travel teams compete in AAU tournaments and leagues, providing competitive game experience for players looking to take their skills to the next level. The academy is a member of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit, offering exposure opportunities for athletes pursuing college basketball.

Summer camps and clinics are held at premier facilities including Wintrust Sports Complex in Bedford Park. Nike Basketball Camps with the Chicago Sky feature intensive skill development sessions led by Chicago Sky staff and experienced coaches. Camp programming includes strength and conditioning, team play skills development, and fundamentals training. Emphasis is placed on individual development, in-depth analysis of conditioning and footwork, and position-specific training for post, wing, and guard positions.

The academy was founded in 2012 as Flow Basketball Academy before partnering with the Chicago Sky organization. The program maintains strong connections to the professional women’s basketball community, with coaches who have experience at the WNBA, NBA G-League, and collegiate levels.

Players of all abilities are welcome, from those just beginning their basketball journey to seasoned athletes seeking to refine their skills. The academy provides a transformative experience where participants can forge new friendships, embrace personal growth, and develop both on and off the court.
