Profile
Tennis On The Lake at Arrive Streeterville (formerly the McClurg Court Tennis Center) provides families in downtown Chicago with a climate-controlled, year-round indoor tennis facility located at 324 East Ohio Street in the Streeterville neighborhood. While Chicago’s outdoor park district tennis season operates from spring through autumn, the Arrive Streeterville facility allows junior and adult players to train consistently across every season without weather interruptions, wind, or rain cancellations. The indoor center also houses a full-service, year-round Pro Shop offering a curated selection of tennis racquets, demo programs, performance apparel, tennis balls, strings, grip replacements, professional racquet restringing, and complimentary loaner racquets for registered students who do not yet own their own equipment.
Junior programming at Arrive Streeterville serves children and teenagers ages 5 to 17 across all experience levels, from first-time players to competitive high school athletes. Using the proprietary TOTL training methodology alongside USTA QuickStart progressions, instructors divide young athletes by both age and skill levelโallowing advanced younger players to move up to older training groups when ready. Classes for children ages 10 and under utilize slower red and orange low-compression balls, shorter nets, and modified court dimensions so kids can sustain rallies early, build athletic confidence, and develop sound biomechanics on forehands, backhands, volleys, and overheads. Older junior classes incorporate green-dot and standard yellow balls alongside live-ball point play, cardio warm-ups, feeding drills, footwork patterns, and tactical court awareness.
During the summer break, Arrive Streeterville hosts weekly Indoor Junior Tennis Camps on weekdays. Parents can register campers for morning half-day sessions, afternoon half-day sessions, full-day camps, or specialized High School prep camps tailored to players ages 13 to 17 preparing for junior high or high school team tryouts and tournament competition. Because the courts are indoors and climate-controlled, working parents can rely on guaranteed camp operation regardless of summer thunderstorms or heat advisories. For families seeking scheduling flexibility, Tennis On The Lake offers custom camp schedules and flexible hourly, half-day, or full-day drop-in registration options.
Beyond structured multi-week class sessions and summer camps, the Streeterville location offers private and semi-private coaching, holiday break workshops, and indoor court rentals outside of instructional periods. No club membership or initiation fee is required to participate, and multi-class registrants qualify for sibling or multi-session discounts. Because Arrive Streeterville is a secure residential and athletic building, registered students receive a keypad entry code in advance or meet their coach at the 324 East Ohio Street entrance next to Bockwinkel’s grocery store shortly before class begins.
