Profile
XS Tennis & Education Foundation operates the XS Tennis Village, a comprehensive tennis facility in Chicago that provides year-round tennis programs for juniors and adults. The organization is committed to developing tennis skills across all ability levels through structured programming, competitive opportunities, and community engagement.
The junior programs feature a developmental pathway system that accommodates players from complete beginners through high-performance competitive athletes. Summer camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM across eight weeks, with both full-session and week-by-week registration options available. The Tennis & Enrichment Camp serves players new to tennis or working with red, orange, green, or yellow balls, using age-appropriate equipment and court sizes. The High Performance Tennis Camp accommodates Pre-Academy, Academy, High School, and High Performance level players.
Both camp programs include 20 hours per week of on-court tennis training, physical conditioning with 10 hours of strength and agility work, and educational components including point construction and strategy sessions. Daily schedules feature drilling, organized match play, and challenge ladder competitions that determine court assignments based on player performance. Year-round competitive players benefit from training designed to help them achieve district, sectional, or national rankings.
The facility includes both indoor and outdoor courts, allowing for year-round programming regardless of weather conditions. Adult programs include lessons, Cardio Tennis classes, and Team Tennis leagues. The foundation operates through its nonprofit status as a 501(c)(3) organization, with a mission to provide accessible tennis and educational opportunities.
All participants must bring their own tennis racket, water or sports drinks, bagged lunch and afternoon snack, non-marking shoes, and sunblock. High performance campers also need a tennis journal. Membership is required before registering for camps and programs. The foundation hosts junior USTA tournaments and offers various classes throughout the year based on the junior development pathway.
