Lakeshore Sport & Fitness Lincoln Park and Illinois Center is Chicago’s premier full-service athletic club, offering an unmatched combination of sports, fitness, wellness, social programming, and youth activities across two expansive locations in the Lincoln Park and East Loop neighborhoods. Recognized as one of the city’s top destinations for active living, Lakeshore Sport & Fitness provides a comprehensive membership experience designed to serve individuals, couples, and families at every age and fitness level.
The flagship Lincoln Park location spans over 3.5 acres and boasts more than 185,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor sport and fitness space. Members enjoy access to eight indoor tennis courts and three rooftop tennis courts, two outdoor platform tennis courts, racquetball and squash courts, and dedicated pickleball play. The facility features two swimming pools, including an indoor lap pool and a seasonal rooftop pool, as well as a full-size basketball court and a quarter-mile indoor running track. The fitness floor is outfitted with state-of-the-art cardio equipment from LifeFitness, Precor, and Stairmaster with on-demand streaming capability, along with a comprehensive free weight room, powerlifting studio, boxing studio, Pilates studio, yoga studio, group cycling studio, and a dedicated group fitness studio offering a robust schedule of classes. Members can also take advantage of PT360 personal training, TeamX group training sessions, and a full-service spa. For socializing and dining, the 1320 Market cafe serves as a casual gathering spot, while Harvest, the club’s full-service rooftop restaurant, offers panoramic views of the Chicago skyline alongside dinner service.
The Illinois Center location, situated in the heart of the East Loop at 211 North Stetson, delivers over 120,000 square feet of health, wellness, and sporting facilities in a convenient downtown setting. This location features an eight-lane indoor pool and a rooftop sun deck with an outdoor pool and workout area, an indoor basketball court complete with scoreboard and shot clocks, five squash courts, and a state-of-the-art golf simulator with putting green. Members also have access to an indoor rock climbing wall, an indoor running track, a functional motion floor with a Synergy 360 trainer, and the largest group fitness studio in the Loop. Additional amenities include a group cycling studio, yoga and Pilates studios, a boxing studio, a members lounge and conference center, and on-site concierge physical therapy through LakeshorePT. Both locations offer luxurious locker rooms equipped with steam rooms, saunas, and whirlpools, with the Illinois Center additionally providing executive and VIP locker room options. A rooftop space at the Illinois Center hosts the seasonal Skyline Summer Series and other member events throughout the year.
Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is especially well known for its extensive youth and family programming. The Lincoln Park campus operates a dedicated kids’ department featuring childcare services included with family memberships, allowing up to 2.5 hours of supervised care per child daily. Children can participate in kids aquatics with swim lessons at all skill levels, kids sports programs including soccer, basketball, dance, and tumbling, and kids fitness classes that promote active lifestyles. The PeeWee Preschool provides an early childhood education environment focused on developmental milestones, while Club48 offers a unique program for preteens in 4th through 8th grade, giving them supervised independence to access age-appropriate classes, sports, and social activities within the club. The Lincoln Park location also hosts summer camp programs packed with outdoor adventures, sports, arts, and enrichment activities tailored to different age groups, as well as School Days Out Camp to keep kids active and engaged during school holidays. Birthday party packages and family-oriented events round out the social experience. The Illinois Center location offers childcare services, a dedicated kids playspace, and youth aquatics programming.
The club operates on a membership model with options for individuals, couples, and families. The Lincoln Park location is open Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Illinois Center location is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both clubs observe modified holiday hours. A virtual studio option extends access to on-demand fitness content for members who want to work out from home.
