Steve & Kate’s Camp – West Loop

Steve & Kate’s Camp – West Loop is a summer day camp located at Chicago World Language Academy in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. The camp serves children ages 4 through 12 with Steve & Kate’s signature approach to self-directed learning and play, giving kids the freedom to choose their own activities and follow their interests throughout each camp day.

The West Loop location offers the full Steve & Kate’s activity lineup, including a Media Lab where campers explore digital creation through stop-motion animation, coding, music production, and other technology-driven projects. The Sewing Salon provides a creative outlet for fashion design and textile arts, while the Bakery lets young chefs develop real culinary skills. Sports, recreation, and water games fill out the day with physical activity and outdoor fun. Weekly specials rotate to bring fresh excitement each week, ranging from inflatable attractions to themed activity days and visiting expert demonstrations.

Enrollment operates on Steve & Kate’s flexible Day Pass system. Families purchase any number of Day Passes and use them at their convenience, without needing to reserve specific days in advance. Passes are valid at any open Steve & Kate’s location. A Summer Pass option covers the entire season for families who want full summer coverage. All pass types include lunch, snacks, and the complete camp day from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Any unused passes are automatically refunded in full at the end of summer. The West Loop camp session runs from approximately early June through early August. Bright Horizons Back-Up Care benefits can be applied, and need-based financial aid is available.
