The University of Chicago Super Summer Sports Camp is a recreational sports camp designed for children who have completed grades K-8. The program welcomes campers of all ability levels and provides comprehensive instruction in various team sports including basketball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball.
Campers participate in traditional kids’ games as well as non-traditional sports such as pickleball and hockey. Individual skills including tennis and archery are also featured throughout the program. The camp includes swim programming in the Myers-McLoraine Pool, providing a well-rounded summer experience.
Led by current coaches and student-athletes alongside experienced counselors, the camp focuses on team-building, self-awareness, and relationship skills. The program emphasizes values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and giving one’s best effort daily. Staff work to prevent teasing and bullying, creating an inclusive environment where children of diverse skill levels and backgrounds can participate together. Former campers often return as counselors, creating a positive mentorship culture. Morning sessions run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, afternoon sessions from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with full day options from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
